The history of the building, which gives place to the café, coalesced with the centre meeting point of people, literature, culture, curing and although it went through many ages, many systems and life-changing, historical changes, it was always reborn.
It is not otherwise in our days as well! The café brought the quality notion of hospitality to a new level!

During one of my early morning walks in a Sunday morning, I discovered the building that stood in ruins at that time, in the centre of Kecskemét, located in the promenade of the town, which now houses our current hotel. When I arrived home, the probable fulfilment of an old dream from my childhood became a reality to me and the possibility of the fruition of a future aim.
After the short process of purchasing, planning and licensing, we immediately undertook the project which was bigger than we ever though. During the investment, failures, opportunities, and blockages made our life more colourful day to day. There were extremely difficult time periods, however, the formation of the hotel gave us much more of happy moments.
I travel around the world with my family and I search everywhere for the beautiful, incomparable, breath-taking, in one word: for the unique. The one thing, which makes a mark in my memory forever, which inspires me for further actions, on which I am thinking back wholeheartedly. We strived to create the same feelings here, at Hotel Gaia, I am hoping that You can also experience it and will hand it on wherever you are in the world!
We will not relax in the future as well, and will try with might and main to have many and more guests who leave our hotel with satisfaction and come back to us searching newer and newer happy moments.
We plan surprises, continual, tiny changes, but the final outcome is guaranteed, I can promise that.
At one time, someone asked me why I renovate listed buildings? I would like to make a mark after myself, to create something imperishable, something which I can be proud of, which my family can be proud of. To be able to say at the end, it was worth it!
